MailTab for Gmail - Email Client App Reviews

I think that this app is a great idea, but somme things need to be fixed. For example, i think the experience is not really fluid. That is just a small part of the problem, the main ones are : - there is no way to attach a document to your email when wending it using this app ( if there is one, the button for it is not well lockated because it is impossible to find) - Also, the yellow banner that appears when you archive an email, delete it etc. pops up anywhere on the window and goes to the middle of the page when you try to scroll down before it disapears, preventing you from seeing the page under it. PLEASE FIX THIS ! IT IS REALLY ANOYING!!! - think the app should have a button to select all of the unread emails at once or the capability to select one then press shift and click on another one to select all the conversations between thoes two. - i havent try this so im not sure if you can do this, but i think it would be a great idea to be able to simply drag and drop photos and even videos on the app icon to automaticly create a new email and put it in it as an atachment or directly onto the page… THANK YOU FOR READING THIS AND GREAT WORK ON THE APP ! :)

When it works, it is great. However, if you exit out of it, it wont reload again until you restart your computer! Useless!

I use the tool to quickly glance at Gmail. It works great and Ive had no problems.

Looks like a great app, but since there is no support for multiple account, it is useless for me… Being able to get notification for both work account and home account would be much to ask...

Its nothing special. Nice to have easy access from the menu bar to see emails quickly, but I would much rather navigate my emails via the website directly.

The only thing that I would like is when you need to print something the regular print window would open not a cloud printer.

You can not attach a file to your email???? Seems like a no-brainer. Other than that its O.K.

I really like this app. The only change I would make is the fact that it reminds you every-so-often about your most recent email. This is kind of annoying at times, but there is probably a way to change this that I dont know. Anyhow, I love this app and give it 4 starts for this reason.

good appellation really does the job, just one concern : think of a nicer icon!!

This is a great app! And I think it could be great. The only problem I have is where is the Attatchment Button??? Not very useful when I cant attatch pictures, videos and documents. And Dont make your consumers pay for a feature like this. Its not an extra, its an essential. We live in a world of sharing, so I hope the makers of this app see the importance of a feature like this. Only going to give it 3 stars until it has this feature. 5 when you fix it!

This app works pretty well to manage your GMAIL. I like the little red envelope at the top of the screen to let you know there is new mail. However, I cannot set the email messages to NOT group themselves in conversations. I like looking at one email at a time from someone and then if I need to see another one sent by the same person I like to browse through and find that email. I find the grouping of conversations too confusing and I have trouble with using the app because of this. Often there are 10 messages in a conversation and its difficult to find exactly what you need. This needs improving. As well, there is no spam filter on this app. That would be very helpful and right now without it, I am finding all the spam and junk very annoying. I hope they add these options. All in all, its good for now and I will look for continued options and improvements.

There is no way to add attachments. and it takes just as long to open mail tab as it would if you went through google. Aside from being notified of when an email comes in there isnt much point to it.

I hope there could be a way to attach files. This is quite important. Other than that, it is excellent.

Gr8 app, makes it simple to check e-mail with notification when e-mail is received and you don’t even need to have a window open it just stays at the top of the screen. all around gr8 app

I have three gmail accounts that I have to keep an eye on at all times. Mailtab makes it really easy to stay on top of incoming mail in three gmail accounts that I have to stay on top of at all times. Love how it sits quietly in my menubar, and lights up in red when i have new mail. Especially love how I no longer have to see any of the ads that gmail manages to stick in my face, despite having AdBlock installed in my browser! i heartily recommend this little app.

This app is so handy! If you really must add attachments to your emails, you can go to the very main screen and scroll all the way down to the bottom. Once there, there’s a little thing that says "View gmail in:” click on desktop. Then reply or compose a new message there and you will be able to add attachments! Simple!

It’s a nifty little app, not very complicated, although an “Attach File” button would be useful with the new version.

Sometimes the window doesn’t line up with the top of my screen and there’s no access to attachments in Mobile version for desktop. Needs slight upgrade.
