Display number of messages and email link redirect needed

This app looks good but it would be even more practical in two main ways: 1) by showing a number in the icon of how many messages there are. Maybe add this as a preference? 2) By clicking on an email address link in a browser, either Mail.app opens up or Google Notifier is needed to redirect the email link to the default browser, opening Gmail. This also puts Google Notifier into the menubar along with your app. My personal preference would be to use your app only. Perhaps this is something you could manage for the next version? If so, I would love to continue using it then.
